Spirit of Place · Live recording · Approximately 26 minutes
Recorded October 10, 2026 · Ithaca, New York
An invitation to pause, settle, and listen.
I offered this sound immersion during a time of silent reflection at Namgyal Monastery’s Fourth Annual Interfaith and Secular Ethics Conference. The gathering brought people of different faiths and perspectives together to explore our shared humanity and the ways we meet adversity.
This recording is part of my ongoing Spirit of Place practice: music created in relationship with the place that holds it. The acoustics of a room, the presence of those gathered, and the intention of the occasion all help shape what emerges. Here, sound became my contribution to a gathering devoted to reflection, understanding, and connection.
